Für wen? Everyone, whatever their age, who enjoys reading in English.
Wer hat angefangen? A joint project by 3 associations - Babel, Open House and Alliance Oxford-Grenoble to provide a centre for the English reading public of the Grenoble area. Association Babel which promotes foreign language learning agreed to house the library in their premises.
Wann hat es angefangen? The Library has been open for 10 years.
Wie funktioniert es? The Library houses approximately 5000 books for all ages and for all tastes. It is staffed by a small team of dedicated volunteers.

* Two book groups - a young adult group and a general literary discussion group - are held at regular intervals.

* Book sales are organised at least once a year.

* Any donations of books in English are welcome.

* Long term loans of books to interested organisations are possible.

* Titles not on the shelves can be requested and sourced.
Wie funktioniert die Gruppe weitermachen? The Library is funded by membership fees, support from the founding associations and from the yearly book sales. The majority of the books are received through generous donations.
Warum ist es gut für Familien? The Library has a very varied collection of books for all ages and tastes. The children's section is particularly well stocked and organised by an ex-children's librarian with many years experience of providing books for young people. All families are very welcome - there are no fines for late books !
