| Who is it for? | Japanese Nationals or those wishing to live in Japan. | ||||
| When did it start? |
It was established in 1972 by Japanese expatriates living in Seoul.
| ||||
| How did you start? | The school is supported by Seoul Japan CLub (http://www.sjchp.co.kr/) and the Japanese Ministry of Education. | ||||
| How does it work? |
The school is comprised of kindergarten, elementary and junior high school classes.
There is a strong focus on being able to return to Japan and re-enter the educational system with ease and a certain level of prowess. The educational system of the school is laid out like any school in Japan, with the exception that it also values learning about Korean Culture. A Korean conversation class is offered from the first grade of elementary school and up. In principle, parents must be a member of the Seoul Japan Club. Admission will be determined by the school management committee If you are interested in seeing the school, you MUST call the school first (学校の見学希望者は、事前に担当(教頭)へ、電話でご相談ください). TEL +82−2−308−2010 | ||||
| How do you keep the group/program going? | The school depends a great deal on its volunteer body. For details contact the school. |
