Therapy session is conducted several times a week. (Children who are not enrolled in school can have therapy ten times a week). In addition, the consultant will conduct training sessions a few times a week and the entire team will have a monthly meeting to monitor the child’s progress.

| Who started it? |
Michiko Wakai BCaBA - After graduating from George Mason University in Virginia, U.S.A., Michiko Wakai went on to work with children with autism and other developmental disabilities for four years as an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behavior (VB) instructor. She also participated in numerous workshops by Dr. Vincent Carbone, who is considered the face of Verbal Behavior approach of ABA. In 2006, Ms. Wakai obtained the credential of Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst.
若井道子(わかい・みちこ）- アメリカ・バージニア州、ジョージメイソン大学卒。その後ABA/VBセラピストとして4年間オーティズムなどの発達しょうがい児たちと働く。VBの代表格といわれる Dr. Vincent Carbone のワークショップなど数々のワークショップに参加。2006年、アメリカ行動分析学会公認、行動分析士（Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst）の資格を取得し、帰国。 |

Support for families with children with autism and other developmental disabilities is limited in Japan. Some families have been told “There is nothing you can do for your child” and have lost all hope. Started in 2006, Auti-net is the first private organizations in Japan to conduct therapy based on Verbal Behavior.

Autism Family Network 'Auti-net' is a family network that connects children/adults with developmental disabilities, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, their family members, and professionals from various fields. Together we provide the communication and support families need.
Auti-net provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy with emphasis on Verbal Behavior. It does not involve forcing an unwilling child to sit at a table without any motivator. It is a type of therapy that focuses on teaching words that are of importance to the child in fast and most efficient manner. Think of how much easier your child’s and families’ lives would be if your child is able to say, “I want ______!” The first step is to capture your child’s motivation to use words in his or her daily life. Framework of therapy involves a team consisting of a consultant, therapist and family is established where the consultant focuses on creating the therapy program and training the therapist and family; the therapist carries out the program laid out by the consultant by directly teaching the child in therapy sessions; and the family practices the program in their every day lives.
