| Quand avez-vous lance l’initiative? | Connect English opened its doors in January 2008. Our aim is to provide English learning for beginner children in an exploratory learning program, and bilingual children in a longer literacy based program. | |||||||||||

Connect English School currently has two classes where learning and fun are integrally linked. Our aim is to foster their natural curiosity, and guide their learning discoveries.
* 'Starting Out': In this class we do lots of pretend play, outside play, songs, art and craft, raising pumpkins for Halloween, etc. We have a monthly theme to promote vocabulary development. We also start exploring phonics, sightwords, and writing. * 'Early Year': In this class, we still play lots of games but start to use English Land 3 and Explode the Code 3. We learn about punctuation, capitals, phonics, sight words, and sentence construction. We develop writing alongside reading skills in this class. Children are encouraged to teach and learn from each other too. Members are free to borrow from the Connect English library that holds over 800 readers, audio books, educational games, and many other materials. | |||||||||||
