本校は在校児童生徒数が平均して１０人前後の小規模校であるうえ、各児童生徒のバックグラウンドも通学目的も多様である。日本からやってきたばかりの子どももいれば、日本国内の学校生活をほとんど経験したことのない子どももいる。そのため、授業は個別指導に近い形で、各人のニーズに合わせたきめ細やかな指導をモットーとして行っている。開校日は毎週土曜日、ガーナ灌漑（かんがい）公社研修所の一部を借用し、おもに国語と算数（数学）の指導を行っている。
その一方で、小人数校であるデメリットを乗り越えて、集団活動経験もできるだけ豊富に織りまぜるように工夫している。入学式をはじめ、こどもの日、七夕など、季節にちなんだ全員参加の行事活動を授業に取り入れるのみならず、日本人会の活動との連携プレーも重視している。今年度は、日本人会総会にて在校生、保護者、講師が総出演で劇を披露し、好評を博した。ビーチ・ツアーにも参加し、今後も運動会、忘年会等の企画がある。 ****************************************** We have a small school with students from diverse backgrounds. Some children just arrived from Japan, some children have never experienced school life in Japan. Therefore, as best we can, we tailor to the needs of each individual. We teach language and mathematics. We try to enrich the experience of the children through group activities. Events include entrance ceremony, Children's Day, and Star Festival, as well as other seasonal activities. One year, students of Japanese Association in general meeting, parents and teachers put on a play. We also organize beach tours, athletic events and parties. | |||||||||||

小規模である本校は、日常業務面においては、在校生の保護者および有志のかたがたの熱意と好意によって支えられている。人的資源、校舎整備等、改善すべき問題を抱えながらも、限られた条件から最大限の充実を引き出すため、協力しながら運営されている。
