| いつから活動していますか |
ケアファンドは、ワシントン首都圏に住む日本人・日系人を対象とした非営利の互助組織です。肺癌で亡くなった日本女性を、友人が代わりあって介護した経験から、日本人・日系人のための支援組織の必要性が認識され、１９９９年にワシントンD.C.に創設されました。２０００年にNPOとして認可を受け、２００４年に事務所をヴァージニア州アナンデールにある現在のNPO の建物に移転しました。
＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊ The Japanese Americans’ Care Fund, located in Annandale, Virginia, was founded in October 1999 and approved as a non-profit organization in 2000. The idea of organizing the Care Fund came from our experience in caring for a Japanese woman who was dying of lung cancer and could not get help from other sources. It made us realize the importance of an organization that provides support and services for such people. | |||||||||||

「相互扶助」アメリカ生活で困ったとき日本語で相談でるようヘルプラインを設けて必要な情報やサービスを迅速に提供しています。日本人と日系人のための住みよいコミュニテイを目指しています。 〈コアバリュー〉 私たち役員およびボランティアは「思いやり、学びの場、尊重、形ある感謝の意」の言葉を胸にコミュニテイーのニーズを受け止めるよう心がけています。 ＜奉仕サービス・プログラム＞ ＊ヘルプラインでの一般相談の受付けと支援 ＊日本人弁護士による法律相談 ＊医師・看護師・弁護士・通訳・心理カウンセラーなど多岐にわたる分野の専門家の紹介 ＊運転サービス、入院・通院・買物の介助 ＊障害者や病人を対象とした留守番サービス ＊高齢者や病人への食事配達サービス ＊地域別ネットワーク作りとランチの集い ＊70歳以上の方をご招待する「敬愛の集い」 ＜教育プログラム＞ ＊日本語図書の無料貸し出し ＊各種文化クラス ＊専門家によるアメリカ生活に役立つセミナー ＊専門医と共に予防医学を考える懇談会 <図書館＞ ケアファンド 図書室 火曜日＆土曜日 11:00-2:00 蔵書は4200冊以上。絵本も240冊以上あります. ＊まんが ＊DVD／Video 会員になりたいの方：電子メールやウェブページを使って登録してください。ブロシュアと申込書も配布しています。会費はありません。プログラムに参加される場合は小額の参加費を頂いています。 ************************************** The Care Fund provides various services and programs for the community. * We make mutual-support connections between you and members, and promote friendship. * Information and assistance by help line * referral to doctors, nurses, lawyers, counselors and other professionals * transportation for those who cannot drive (medical appointments, hospitalization, shopping, etc.) * interpretation * research and information on legal, financial, and other matters * meal delivery for the elderly and sick * visitation * senior lunch meetings * Seniors Day lunch and entertainment * library * cultural classes * seminars by specialists * Hiking club Care Fund Library Room Open Hours: Every Tuesday and Saturday from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Books (4,200+), Kid's picture books (240+), DVDs, Videos, Manga To become a Care Fund member, you can register by email (carefund@jacarefund.org) or on the Care Fund website (www.jacarefund.org). You may also request a brochure and registration form. There is no membership fee. However, nominal fees may be charged to attend programs. Care Fund members can be volunteer service providers, or recipients of services. | |||||||||||

Ａ：ご連絡いただければどのような活動があるか詳しくご説明いたしますので、その中からお選びください。英語が苦手でも年齢にも関係なく、ご参加いただけるボランティア活動がいろいろありますので、お気軽にお申し込みください。 The Care Fund is financed entirely by fundraising activities and private donations from individuals and corporations. The Care Fund always needs volunteers who are willing to share skills and knowledge. Volunteers do not have to commit themselves to a predetermined amount of time. | |||||||||||
