1960年５月 日本人会（日本クラブ前身）が中心となり当時、ボン大学に留学していた門脇卓爾先生（学習院大学）夫妻を講師にDerendorfにあるライプニッツギムナジウム校舎を借り２教室で日本語授業開始。上級組小４〜中１ １４名、下級組小１〜小３ ６名、一回２時間...(サイト[補習校のあゆみ]を参照してください。)
******************************************* In May, 1960, the Japanese Association (formerly Club Japan) was set up, and Dr. Kadowaki Takashi (from Gakushuin University), at the University of Bonn and his wife began teaching Japanese in rented classrooms. There was only 20 students, and they taught for two hours at a time. Since coming to Düsseldorf in 1952, Japanese expatriates, Japanese society has become nearly the size of 600. ＜校長あいさつ＞
本校はデュッセルドルフ日本人学校理事会の下におかれ、実際の運営は補習校運営委員会が行っております。 デユッセルドルフ日本人学校による支援授業もあり、日本人学校の教員による書写指導など、全日制との協力体制も整っております。 日本人学校の２大行事である、「運動会」と「学校祭」には、補習校も参加をして、行事を作り上げています。運動会では、学級対抗リレーなどのように補習校チームがすばらしいチームワークで熱戦を展開します。 また、それぞれの学年の種目に参加し、たくさんの観客とともに運動会を楽しんでいます。学校祭の舞台発表では、補習校小学部と中学部にわかれ、劇を発表します。2007年度は、小学部は「本当の宝物は」で、小学1年生から6年生まで全員出場しました。中学部は群読劇「竹取物語」を古語文体のセリフで、工夫された小道具や衣装で熱演しました。展示発表では日ごろの授業成果等が飾られました。 施設設備面では、日本人学校の広いグランドの利用や１３、０００冊の蔵書から本を借りることができるなど、他の補習校にはない、恵まれた環境で勉強することができます。 また、日本クラブによる「読み聞かせ」や百人一首大会、年2回の校内漢字検定なども行い、国語学習の成果を上げています。このように本校では、日本の「学習指導要領」に基づいた検定教科書を使って国語指導を行っております。「日本語教育」としてではなく、「国語教育」として取り組んでいますので、日本の学校と同じカリキュラムに従っている ところが大きな特色です。 土曜日の４時間という限られた時間の中ですが、各講師の先生が努力し工夫した教材を用い、中身の濃い授業を展開しています。日本の文部科学省が公示している「学習指導要領」には国語の目標として小中学校とも「国語を適切に 表現し正確に理解する力と伝え合う力の育成」、さらに「思考力、想像力、言語感覚」を養い豊かにすることを掲げています。 (詳細については、Webサイトを参照してください。 ) ******************************************** ＜Principal's Message> The school board operates under the Japanese school in Düsseldorf, but the day to day operations of the school are performed by the Saturday School committee. Teaching is also supported by the Japanese school in Düsseldorf. The school holds two main events each year in which the Saturday school participates: "Sports Day" and "School Festival". The sports day games area great way to develop camaraderie. School students also put on and perform in modern and very traditional plays such as 'The Real Treasure' or the 'Bamboo Tales'. Students at this Saturday School enjoy access to a library of 13,000 Japanese books and large sports ground - making it a very privileged learning environment. The school has also arrange 'Readalouds' for the students, and twice a year there is a chance to take the 'Kanji Kentei' (Test of Chinese Characters). The approach of this school is to provided a 'Japanese Education' as opposed to 'language education' based on textbooks. The school follows the Japanese school curriculum. Teachers prepare to meet that goal on Saturdays. Furthermore, in line with Ministry of Education goals, the school "fosters the ability to understand and correctly communicate one's opinion using the appropriate language," and "thinking, imagination'.
