Quando foi criado? Azza Supplementary School started in 1995 as part of a Sudanese women’s project, teaching English, maths, science, Arabic and Islamic studies. There were only 26 children initially, but the school grew quickly to meet increasing demand. This has meant moving several times: Firstly at Canalside House, then a local Methodist Church, and now Azza is based at a local school.

Que conselhos dariam para outros que querem estabelecer um grupo similar? Top tips for the learning environment:

• Gather a good working team. It can push you to achieve good results. Decide who is going to do what.
• Make the classroom exciting, but with a strong disciplinary policy in place.
• Make sure you have provided enough space and stimulation for children.
• Put rules in place so that children understand the policy on behaviour and discipline. (Continyu, 2008)
