International Children's Garden
This is a multi-age pre school / international kindergarten program, in English, for 2 1/2- 6 year olds. Nurturing the seeds within us all, we aim to gain wisdom of our great and wondrous world. Please call for a pamphlet.

Seedlings
This is a multilingual cooperative playgroup for 0 - 3 year olds. Parents and children gather together, sing songs, read books, chat, and give and receive advice regarding childrearing. Here a GIC staff member promotes awareness of living values amongst parents as well as initiating parenting skills discussions.

Sunbeams
This is an English enhancement program for Children who are fluent in English. This is perfect for returnees, children who have an English speaker in the home, or children who have graduated from advanced ESL programs or international kindergartens.

Storytime
This is a parent and child program to learn English through story books, designed for 3-6 year olds. It's an opportunity for the parent and child to spend quality time together at home reading the books together. The class consists of role playing, activities and songs based on the theme of the book.

Music Together
Music Together is a developmentally appropriate and holistic approach to early childhood music development for infant, toddler, preschool, and kindergarten children and their parents, teachers, and other primary caregivers

Happy Talk ESL Program
We offer holistic English Conversation classes for ages three to adult. Lessons include activities based on Gardner's Multiple Intelligence theories in order to achieve the highest possible level of learning from our students.

Drama Stars
This is an ESL program where Drama is the tool for learning everyday English. Ideal for children who are active and kinesthetic.

Community Services
Shonan Crossings
Communication and Living Values Workshop for adults and educators. At our monthly gatherings, using FUN activities, we explore 11 human values shared by people worldwide and practice compassionate and positive communication skills. Depending on members, meetings may be Bi-lingual or Japanese.

Shonan Warriors
A vibrant youth group based on our living values program, sustainable development in the community and non violent communication.

We are a member of Unesco's Earth Charter. Gatherings are meaningful and a whole lot of fun. (main language is Japanese)

First Aid
GIC hosts certified Japanese Red Cross courses to different communities in the Kanagawa area every year.

Summer Camp
No matter the setting, our distinctive approach to youth development remains the same. Each of our summer day camp sessions offers a nurturing community in which children learn from positive adult role models.

We also offer a family camp where adults can enjoy a variety of experiences as well to further develop their own never ending growth process.
